(Video) New “True Detective: Season 3” Drops and it’s Awesome

A new trailer has been released for Season 3 of “True Detective.”

If you’re anything like me, you cannot wait for the new season of True Detective to finally hit HBO. Luckily, we’re only a few months away from the January 13th release date. The new eight-part season, which just dropped an official two-minute trailer today, will be directed by Jeremy Saulnier and star Mahershala Ali and Stephen Dorff.

According to IMDb, True Detective Season 3 “tells the story of a macabre crime in the heart of the Ozarks, and a mystery that deepens over decades and plays out in three separate time periods.”

Like the first two seasons, the third season is written by Nic Pizzolatto. If you’re a fan of Pizzolatto, he just had one of his stories hit the big screen — Galveston — which is getting solid reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.
