Virginia Football Ranked For First Time Since 2011
The Virginia Cavaliers football team is finally in the national rankings after starting 6-2.
Prior to this season, not too many people would have projected the Virginia football team to be in the national conversation. However, since Arizona State transfer Bryce Perkins came to town, everything has changed. The Cavaliers have started out 6-2 with wins over a nationally ranked Miami team, Duke, North Carolina, Louisville, and two non-conference triumphs.
Because of their rise, the national media has recognized Bronco Mendenhall‘s team with their first national ranking since 2011.
According to the Week 10 NCAA College Football Polls, the Cavaliers rank No. 23 in the AP Top 25 and No. 22 in the Coaches Poll.

What makes things even better is the fact that their upcoming schedule is light. They’ll face a 4-4 Pittsburgh team at home this week, followed by first-year FBS program Liberty at home. Then, they travel to play 4-4 Georgia Tech in their final ACC game before their rivalry matchup at Virginia Tech in the Commonwealth Cup on November 23rd.
Virginia is currently in first place among ACC Coastal programs.
