Virginia Football Set For Friday Night Game on National TV
The Virginia football program will play their first Friday night game of the 2018 season this week on ESPN2.
Fresh off their first national ranking since 2011, the Virginia football program will play their first Friday night game of the season. Previously, all their games had been played on Saturdays.
On the opposing sideline will be the Pittsburgh Panthers (4-4). Not only will it be their first game on Friday night but it will also be available on national television for everyone to witness. ESPN2 will be broadcasting the game at 7:30 P.M ET. According to ESPN’s PickCenter, the Cavaliers are 7.5-point favorites over the Panthers.
Last year, the Cavaliers beat Boise State 42-23 in their first Friday night game but lost to Virginia Tech 10-0 in their second Friday night game to finish their regular season.
As usual, the Virginia football program will again play Virginia Tech on Friday to finish their season on November 23rd.
In terms of their history against Pittsburgh, the Cavs lost in 2017 to the Panthers by a score of 31-14.
