Wale, John Wall, and Other D.C. Celebs React To Caps Stanley Cup Appearance
The Washington Capitals were founded back in 1974 but have been held championship-less every single year since. Luckily, this year could be different. On May 24th, the Caps clinched their second conference championship and will now have the opportunity to snag their first-ever Stanley Cup.
The city of D.C. and its surrounding area (DMV) deserves this feeling. Here are some of the more notable Washington, D.C. celebs sharing their thoughts on the Caps’ historic win.

With my limited hockey knowledge there were two game changing moments tonight and not necessarily in this order. Ovi’s lazer goal in the first and Tom Wilson saying I’ll be damned if you rip my boys sweater off and throw it on the ice and then doing something about it #ALLCAPS

For all the losses, the early exits, the better luck next years. For all the haters and doubters. Ovie’s not a leader. This team is cursed. It sounds crazy, but it was worth it. All of it, FOR THIS. Proud to call myself a #Caps fan. Congrats boys! Going to the ship! #ALLCAPS pic.twitter.com/Gl6IkSaZL0
