You Can Now Watch Every ESPN This is SportsCenter Commercial
ESPN’s SportsCenter has taken a hit since the tech boom hit but once upon a time, it was everything. When I was a kid, it was the first thing I put on in the morning because I had no other way to know who won the out-of-town games. There’s an entire generation of people who will say the same thing.
Nowadays, we’re lucky; we can actually watch the game (or highlights) while it’s happening instead of waiting around for Dan Patrick and co.
Still, though, SportsCenter was everything for many years, and the commercials were just reminders of what made it awesome. The anchors were (and still are) funny. In the mid-90’s, a lot of sports television was stale; SportsCenter was fresh.
Over the last few years, I’ve found myself on YouTube several times watching those commercials from back in the day featuring Dan Patrick, Rich Eisen, and more recently, Scott Van Pelt. Every time, a half-hour would pass like nothing.
But ESPN never had a complete library of commercials, as they do for 30 for 30 on ESPN+.
Today, however, I found an ad on ESPN for the entire catalog. I don’t know when they made it or if I’m a few weeks late to the party but you need to check it out.
