Wizards Have Used Franchise Record 25 Players This Year
As I write this post, the Washington Wizards are 4.5 games back of the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference. Truth be told, it’s highly unlikely that we’ll see them advancing, but they’re still alive nonetheless. And, if you’ve followed them this season, you know it’s been an up-and-down ride with multiple chapters; they’ve had the Big 3 chapter (Wall/Dwight/Beal), the injury chapter, the Portis/Parker influx chapter, the Beal is amazing chapter and the current chapter which finds most fans looking to the future. That’s not even including the Oubre Jr. trade. What a season, right?
All along the way, tons and tons of different dudes have been on the squad, suiting up in the red, white, and blue. In fact, they’ve had more guys play this year (25) than any other year, according to NBC Sports Washington’s Chase Hughes. By comparison, only 15 guys played for last year’s Wizards team.
Beal has played in a team-high 71 games, while only three others (Green, Satoransky, and Bryant) have played in 60-plus games.
Below, you can see the 25 players who have played for the Wizards this year, ranked from most games played to least.
