Woj: NBA Will Resume Playoffs
After NBA players boycotted playoff games on Wednesday to bring attention to racial injustices, Woj announced the playoffs will resume, possibly as early as Friday.
The resumption of playoff games could come as soon as Friday, but there is expected to be a return to this season by the weekend, sources tell ESPN. https://t.co/A2PazNKDhy

The boycotts took shape after video emerged of Jacob Blake’s slaying in Wisconsin. The Bucks, the league’s team from Wisconsin, were the first to boycott, doing so before Game 5 of their series against the Orlando Magic. From there, the Thunder-Rockets and Blazers-Lakers games were also postponed, as well as multiple MLB, WNBA, and MLS games.
Earlier today, there was growing concern the playoffs would shut down after it was revealed the Lakers and Clippers voted against resuming play. Thursday’s games were also postponed as expected so a decision could be made on future plans.
There is a meeting of NBA owners and players set for later today, sources tell @MarcJSpears and me. The discussion is expected to include plans of action moving forward on social justice issues.
