World Series: Boston Red Sox vs. Los Angeles Dodgers History
Looking back on the head-to-head history between the Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers.
Of all the potential World Series matchups, the one we’re getting — Boston Red Sox vs. Los Angeles Dodgers — is by far one of the most prestigious. I mean, we all loved seeing the Milwaukee Brewers compete but in terms of ratings and public interest, the Red Sox and Dodgers are far superior.
With that said, they have met less than 20 times in their entire history. In fact, all of their meetings — 15 of them — have come since 2002. And maybe the best part, in my opinion, is how even things have gone — BOS, 8 wins; LAD, 7 wins. All games have been played in three-game series during the months of either June (2002, 2004, 2010) or August (2013, 2016).
