10-Year Deluxe Edition of Mac Miller’s ‘K.I.D.S’ Features Two New Tracks

Ten years ago today, Mac Miller’s breakout mixtape K.I.D.S dropped, launching his already budding career to another level. What followed was a catalog any emcee anywhere would love to call their own and eventually a wayyy-too-soon overdose death at just 26 years old.

Mac isn’t here to celebrate the milestone, sadly, but Rostrum Records released a deluxe digital version of the tape today. The new version includes two new songs — “Ayye” and “Back in The Day” — and will eventually come out on vinyl. You can preorder it now.

Rostrum Records, Mac’s early label and a Pittsburgh staple, cares deeply about his legacy. If you have followed their relationship throughout the years, it’s clearly more than just the artist-label variety. They helped each other and eventually did two Top 5 studio albums together, Blue Slide Park and Watching Movies With The Sound Off. Mac always kept his hometown close, as well as the people who came up with him.

Mac’s mom, Karen Meyers, also celebrated the event today, putting out a touching video on her Instagram account. The family has done such a good job preserving his legacy and keeping his fanbase close. This is just another example.
