AAC Football Week 10 Power Rankings, Schedule & Odds

AAC Power Rankings (Week 10)

Key: Power Ranking: Team (Current Record, +/-)

#12: UConn (2-6, -)

As I predicted, UConn beat UMass. It will be their only win the rest of the way…

#11: East Carolina (3-5, -3)

Blowout home loss vs. USF forced me to give up on ECU. Couldn’t move the ball on the ground against the AAC’s worst rush defense. Now have fewer points on the year than UConn…that’s hard to do.

#10: Tulsa (2-6, +1)

This team fights like hell at home against good teams.

#9: South Florida (4-4, +1)

Gained over 350 rushing yards vs. ECU. Convincing win. Really tough schedule the rest of the way.

#8: Houston (3-5, +1)

Gave SMU all they could handle. Staring down the barrel of a 4-8 season, however.

#7: Tulane (5-3, -)

Fought back from big deficit against Navy before losing. Should be bowl eligible after this weekend.

#6: Temple (5-3, -)

Still AAC football’s Jekyll & Hyde.

#5: Navy (6-1, -)

Defense is the only AAC unit allowing fewer than 20 points per game.

#4: Memphis (7-1, -)

Hung on against Tulsa and was rewarded with first College Gameday visit.

#3: UCF (6-2, -)

Man, did they take out their frustrations on Temple or what? That’s how you earn back respect. Averaging more yards on offense per game (561) than any other AAC football team.

#2: Cincinnati (6-1, -)

Cats return to action this week at ECU. With an extra week to prepare, they should avoid a letdown.

#1: SMU (8-0, -)

All hail the King of the American Athletic Conference…
