AAC Football Week 7 Power Rankings, Schedule & Odds

AAC Power Rankings (Week 7)

Key: Power Ranking: Team (Current Record, +/-)

#12: UConn (1-4, -)

The only game UConn may win the rest of the way is a non-con matchup against UMass.

#11: South Florida (2-3, -)

After thumping UConn, the Bulls have a big non-con home game against BYU this week.

#10: East Carolina (3-3, -1)

Only one win against FBS teams this year. QB Holton Ahlers needs to be more accurate.

#9: Tulsa (2-3, +1)

Gave SMU all they could handle last week but penalties continue to kill them.

#8: Navy (3-1, -)

Huge W against Air Force last week. Defense is stout this year, allowing 19.3 points per game.

#7: Houston (2-4, -1)

Cougs smacked North Texas on the road but No. 25 Cincinnati is coming to town this week and that’s a much stiffer test. The verdict is still out on this team without star QB D’Eriq King, who chose to redshirt after four games.

#6: Temple (4-1, +1)

Two big wins in a row after getting upset by Buffalo. Owls used dual-threat QB Todd Centeio for a spark against ECU and it worked. Temple-Memphis is going to be must-see TV this Saturday.

#5: Tulane (4-1, -)

Tulane is fun to watch this year. Snapped Army’s 15-game home winning streak with a 42-33 win in Week 6. Green Wave are 34-point favorites this weekend vs. UConn.

#4: UCF (4-2, -3)

Golden Knights have more losses this year than 2017 and 2018 combined. Expect a pissed-off group against ECU this weekend.

#3: Cincinnati (4-1, +1)

Crept into the Top 25 (#25) with their win over UCF. Bearcats defense is coming off a huge performance — three picks, three sacks.

#2: Memphis (5-0, +1)

Tigers remain unbeaten after win vs. UL Monroe. QB Brady White leads AAC football in completion percentage and passer efficiency. Ranked #23 nationally.

#1: SMU (6-0, +1)

Climbed up a few spots in national rankings (#25 to #21) with comeback victory over Tulsa. Defense makes a lot of impact plays; their 26 sacks and eight interceptions both lead the AAC. No AAC team is even close to their sack total. SMU will get some rest this weekend.
