Aaron Rodgers Makes Plans for Life After Football With Bucks Ownership

The list of professional athletes who go broke after their playing days are over is too long and too sad, but Aaron Rodgers has made some precautions to ensure his name won’t be on that list.

His plan?

Team ownership.

It was announced on Friday that Aaron Rodgers is now a minority owner for the Milwaukee Bucks, linking him further with the state of Wisconsin, which is wonderful news for Packers fans who had become concerned with recent rumors that he has been unhappy.

In an interview with Fox Sports Wisconsin, Aaron Rodgers went as far as to admit that he plans on finishing his career in Green Bay.

I love the region. I love to finish my career here. It was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.

Aaron Rodgers joins the likes of Peyton Manning, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Nolan Ryan, and other prominent athletes to jump into the ownership game.

The Milwaukee Bucks were one of the teams that lost money last season (before revenue sharing), but with a talented young base, a new arena coming, and a local icon buying in, the pieces are all there for them to become mega profitable for a small market team.

And it further sets the example of the ideal path for a former player.
