Agree/Disagree With Colin Cowherd’s Blazing 5 Wild Card NFL Picks

OK, so the regular season is over, meaning the Blazing 5 is technically not a thing anymore. Colin still releases picks, though, so it’s as close to a Blazing 5 as you can get. Instead of five picks, he has four, and he just picked the winner in the four Wild Card games, along with a final score. I have translated what he released to make it easy for those following his picks.

Colin Cowherd’s Blazin’ 5 Wild Card NFL Picks

Buffalo 24, Houston 23 (Buffalo +3)

New England 27, Tennessee 24 (New England ML)

New Orleans 28, Minnesota 20 (New Orleans -7.5)

Philadelphia 26, Seattle 23 (Philadelphia +1.5)

Agree or Disagree?

Buffalo 24, Houston 23 — AGREE

Buffalo’s defense is for real and the Texans aren’t as explosive as they sometimes get credit for. J.J. Watt isn’t going to save their defense, either. Houston ranks 28th in yards allowed and they’re a historically bad team in the postseason, going 1-4 ATS in their last five playoff games.

New England 27, Tennessee 24 — AGREE

Colin likes New England to win a tight game here and I agree completely. That’s what the Patriots do come playoff time. Like Colin, I wouldn’t mess with the spread here. Take the Pats on the moneyline which is going to be somewhere in the -200 range.

New Orleans 28, Minnesota 20 — DISAGREE

With Dalvin Cook prepared to play, I have to take the 7.5 points here. The Vikings are a darkhorse team in these playoffs; they’re the only NFC playoff team besides San Francisco ranked in the top 10 in scoring offense and defense.

Philadelphia 26, Seattle 23 — AGREE

Probably my favorite pick of the weekend. I like the DNA of this Eagles team and they got hot at the right time, winning their last four games of the season. Plus, they will have their rowdy fanbase behind them and Carson Wentz will do just about anything to win them over and secure his first-ever postseason W.
