Another Landon Donovan Comeback is Happening…
American soccer star Landon Donovan is making another return to the field in February, this time for the San Diego Sockers of the Major Arena Soccer League. He’ll play his first game for the Sockers on February 15th, making it the third time he’s come out of retirement to play. Most recently, he unretired in 2018 to play six matches for Club Leon in Liga MX.
Per an AP report via Yahoo Sports, Donovan will play 13 games in the MASL, including all home and playoff games, as well as a few selected road games.
Donovan is the all-time leading goal scorer in Major League Soccer, which named their MVP award after the California native.
