Cavs-Warriors Odds, Series Price MUCH Different Than Last Three NBA Finals
The Golden State Warriors are HUGE favorites over the Cleveland Cavaliers to win the 2018 NBA Finals — a much different story than in their three previous meetings. Per Jeff Sherman, manager of the famed Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, the series price for the matchup reads like this: Warriors (-1200), Cavaliers (+750).

Of course, this comes as no surprise to folks who understand Vegas and the sports betting scene. The Cavs don’t have Kyrie anymore, their supporting cast doesn’t give people a lot of hope, and they lost more in these playoffs than we’ve seen. Additionally, the Warriors have three top-line superstars and home-court advantage.
In recent years, the series price was competitive instead of the gigantic numbers Sherman tweeted out. By comparison, those odds are like a 21-point favorite in college football (or a gigantic mismatch).
Here are the series prices for their three previous NBA Finals matchups:
- 2014-15: Golden State (-220); Cleveland (+190)
- 2015-16: Golden State (-220); Cleveland (+180)
- 2016-17: Golden State (-300); Cleveland (+250)

It should be noted that the Warriors had a similar series price in their series with the New Orleans Pelicans and won in five games.
The Warriors have been favored in all three of their series during these playoffs while the Cavaliers were favorites against Indiana and Boston but underdogs versus Toronto.
