Cowboys-Patriots Was Highest Rated Sporting Event Since Super Bowl
The Cowboys-Patriots game from Week 12 was the highest-rated sporting event since Super Bowl LIII, according to Sports Media Watch. The game, which received a 19.5 overnight rating, was also tied for the highest-rated FOX sports telecast since 1996.
The 19.5 is also tied as the highest for a regular season NFL telecast on FOX since 1996, again matching the 2015 Seahawks-Cowboys game.
Overall, it ranks as televisionās highest-rated program in the metered markets since the Academy Awards on ABC in February (20.6) and the highest-rated sporting event since the Super Bowl. No non-NFL sporting event has had a higher overnight since Game 7 of the Cubs-Indians World Series in 2016 (25.2).

According to SMW, no regular-season game in any window had exceeded a 17.0 overnight in the last three seasons.

New England won the game 13-9 but failed to cover the 6.5-point spread.
Both teams currently lead their divisions heading into Week 13.
