WATCH: Daniel Murphy Pulled a “Mean Girls” Last Night vs. Nats

Daniel Murphy played his first game in the month of April last night against his former team, the Washington Nationals, and it was a memorable one. No, he didn’t drive in a shit load of runs or anything, he just had an embarrassing moment caught on video (below).

I’m not gonna lie, I also get spooked from time to time, but no one is recording me so it doesn’t matter. Murphy went full-on Mean Girls in front of his home crowd, and all his former supporters watching at home on MASN.

Also, that race is bush league compared to the President’s Race at Nationals Park.

Moving off that, it’s super weird seeing Murphy in a Colorado Rockies uniform. Maybe it’s because he’s always worn some shade of blue (Mets, Nats, Cubs)…or maybe it’s because No. 9 doesn’t fit. Yeah, I think that’s it. Murphy needs a 20-something on his back.

In the actual game, just his third this year, Murphy singled, drew a walk and scored a run in Colorado’s 9-5 win over Washington.

Nats pitchers Anibal Sanchez and Trevor Rosenthal got banged around pretty good, allowing 11 hits and nine earned runs in six combined innings. Matt Grace, on the other hand, threw two scoreless innings of relief for the Nats. On offense, Matt Adams went 3-for-5, raising his season average to .297, and Juan Soto hit his fourth home run of the season.

For Murph, he’s now 2-for-14 in his first season with the Rockies.

Washington (11-12) will have today off before starting a series at home against San Diego.
