WATCH: Epic Bam Adebayo Block Seals Game 1

Jimmy Butler called Bam Adebayo the “heart and soul” of the Miami Heat after their 117-114 overtime win over Boston in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals and it’s easy to see why. Adebayo played a great game on both ends and really shined when the chips were down. He had a monster dunk with 2:08 remaining in overtime, then came through with a block that will be replayed over and over on highlight tapes for years to come; it was 100 percent a game-saver and a legit all-timer.

Jayson Tatum drove down the right side of the paint and cocked back for a monster dunk as time was winding down, only to have Adebayo meet him at the apex and viciously send it back.

Adebayo finished the game with 18 points, nine assists, six rebounds and two blocks in 43 minutes. Jimmy Butler, Jae Crowder, and Goran Dragic all reached the 20-point mark with Dragic leading the bunch with 29.

Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 30 points.

Boston now leads 1-0. Game 2 is on Thursday at 7pm on ESPN.
