Famed Sportswriter John Feinstein to Join MASN Booth For George Mason-VCU Broadcast

Washington Post columnist and famed author John Feinstein will join MASN (Mid-Atlantic Sports Network) for the VCU at George Mason broadcast on Wednesday evening, according to the official George Mason Athletics website. Feinstein, who wrote one of college basketball’s most celebrated books, A Season on the Brink, will join longtime Patriots announcer Bill Rohland in the booth.

The game is set to tip-off at 7:00 p.m. ET from Eagle Bank Arena in Fairfax, VA and will be the first of two meetings between the rival Atlantic-10 programs.

Mason is currently 5-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play. VCU is 8-2 so far and 1-0 in A-10 action. The Rams are also the second-highest ranked team in the conference by KenPom (No. 55).

MASN, per the release, will also broadcast two other George Mason games this season: Jan. 27 at home against George Washington and Feb. 13 at home against Duquesne. The Duquesne game will also be Mason’s homecoming game. Former Georgetown head coach Craig Esherick will join Rohland for these two broadcasts.
