Former Redskins, AAF WR Rashad Ross Signs NFL Deal With Carolina
Last weekend, Keith Reaser and Rashad Ross were suiting up for AAF games. A few days later, they were jobless; the AAF folded out of nowhere on Tuesday, leaving Reaser, Ross, and the remainder of the league without a contract.
The decision by the AAF has been talked about a lot since it went down, mostly negatively, yet for Reaser and Ross, it turned out to be a blessing. On Thursday, both former NFL players were signed to new NFL deals.
Reaser, a defensive back, signed with his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs, according to ESPN reports, while Adam Schefter reported that Ross had inked a deal with the Carolina Panthers.
Ross, who played for the Arizona Hotshots in the AAF, spent time with several NFL teams since his collegiate career at Arizona State ended. His most notable NFL stint, however, came with the Washington Redskins, where he caught nine passes between 2015 and 2016.
Reaser, in addition to the Chiefs, also spent time with the San Francisco 49ers.
