Just Because: Mac Miller “Inertia” Freestyle Video

It’s been over six months since Mac Miller passed away and it still hurts the same as it did back then. I’ve listened to Swimming front to back more times than I can count, and the same goes for his NPR Tiny Desk concert. His best work, as many have noted, was still ahead of him, but boy, his final year on this earth resulted in some legit classics. One that doesn’t get the credit it deserves is “Inertia,” the teaser freestyle Mac released days before Swimming; it’s nothing like anything on the album that eventually came but it proved Mac can still flat-out rap with the best of them.
