NBC Sports Network Loses The Dan Patrick Show

For most of this decade, sports fans have been able to see Dan Patrick and his “Danettes” on NBC Sports Network in the morning. Personally, The Dan Patrick Show was always a nice alternative to ESPN’s First Take and FS1’s Undisputed.

That’s all over now, though, as The Dan Patrick Show will be leaving NBCSN at the end of the month.

The show, which is an AT&T/DirecTV product, will head over the Turner’s B/R Live streaming service, according to The Big Lead, as they’re all under the same umbrella now.

AT&T will be allowed to acquire Time Warner. What this means from a sports media perspective is that DirecTV and Turner Sports, which owns Bleacher Report, will be under the same umbrella.

While a lot of things pertaining to the merger are in flux and nothing is set in stone, it would not be astonishing if the Dan Patrick Show landed back on linear television on one of Turner’s networks — TNT, TBS, or TruTV — down the road.

NBC Sports Network, unfortunately, doesn’t have a heavy-hitter to take DP’s place. Instead, they’re going to re-air PFT Live and throw in an hour of soccer-heavy Sky Sports News, per Awful Announcing.

The Dan Patrick Show will continue to air on AT&T/DirecTV’s Audience Network.
