Think 450: NBPA Online Store Selling Original Basketball Artwork, Shirts, and More

I was combing through Yahoo earlier and noticed an ad for a really cool basketball shirt. Veteran (and future Hall-of-Famer) Vince Carter was featured on the ad, so naturally, I clicked through to see what it was all about. To my surprise, when I got to the space it was the National Basketball Players Association (or NBPA) site. More specifically, it was their store. And even more surprising, the items they are offering are DOPE.

Honestly, I don’t know if they’ve always had a store but you can tell they just recently revamped it for the Players Voice Awards. (At the bottom of the page it has a 2018 copyright so I imagine it’s all pretty new).

Of course, because it’s the NBPA, the items aren’t licensed by the NBA but they’re still cool. There are shirts, accessories, and best of all, some really unique artwork.

If you’ve followed me on social media, you know that Slackie Brown HQ has a ton of cool sports and entertainment garb on the walls. So when I saw the “NBPA Backbone” artwork (illustrated by Bob Lian), I was totally blown away. The piece is $125 but it’s got a ton of current players and is literally screaming at me to buy it. I might, who knows. If you want to grab one, go here. The site also features a shirt with the same artwork for $29.99. Other artists also have original illustrations immortalized on merchandise.

Some players with specific items are James Harden, Damian Lillard, Russell Westbrook, and Donovan Mitchell. With that said, there’s a ton of other guys, too. On the site, you’ll find the association’s tagline, ‘Think 450’, which is cool in itself.

Check out the store. I guarantee you’ll be impressed.
