NFL: Tripping Penalties Shouldn’t Have Been Called on Cowboys
Multiple reports surfaced on Monday saying the NFL informed the Dallas Cowboys that neither of the tripping penalties called against them vs. New England should have been called.

Both penalties were detrimental to Cowboys’ drives. The first, called on Tyron Smith, helped stall a drive that ended with a blocked punt and in turn, the lone touchdown of the game. You can see that call above.
The second, called on Travis Frederick, was even more egregious because it killed the Cowboys’ last real drive. On a third-and-one, Dak Prescott completed a three-yard pass to Ezekiel Elliott that gave them a first down on the Dallas 38-yard line. The tripping penalty was called, though, erasing the first down and setting the Cowboys up with a third-and-11. You can see the play below.
The worst call of the weekend, during the biggest game of the weekend! Terrible referees! #Cowboys

New England wound up winning by a 13-9 final score.
Despite the loss, Dallas sits atop the NFC East with a 6-5 record.
