Nuggets Ride Career Game From DeMatha’s Jerami Grant to Blowout Pistons
With a nearly perfect shooting performance (12-for-15) on Tuesday night, DeMatha Catholic’s own Jerami Grant put up the best scoring performance of his NBA career. Grant dropped 29 points in 29 minutes to lead Denver to a 115-98 win over Detroit, the most of any player on either team.

Prior to Tuesday’s game, Grant’s career-high was 28 points, accomplished last year as a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder. After the season — his best to date — the Nuggets spent a first-round pick to acquire Grant.
“Jerami Grant was great tonight,” head coach Michael Malone told reporters. “I just rode him that whole second half. He was terrific.”

Jerami, who went 3-for-5 from beyond the arc and 2-for-2 from the line, scored 21 of his 29 in the second half.
The win for Denver was their 40th of the season. It’s the quickest they have reached the 40-win mark in franchise history. The Nuggets are the â„–2 seed in the Western Conference, five games behind the Lakers.
