Official Stats for Kanye West’s Twitter Following Since His Latest Barrage Began
Kanye West has catapulted back into the headlines over the last two weeks. Most of it has to do with the content he’s including in his Twitter messages. Some great, and some strange, but all noteworthy.
The great I speak of has to do with his upcoming projects: his own album, his album with Kid Cudi, and the albums he’s producing for Pusha T and Nas.
The strange? Well, that has to do with his “Make America Great Again” hats and out-of-left-field support for Donald Trump.
He can do what he wants, there’s no judgment from here. But apparently, his support resulted in a Twitter glitch that caused a mass exodus of followers.
These days, you don’t know how many followers are legit or phony but here is the skinny on his Twitter follower activity.

We did the math and he’s averaging over 2.2 million new Twitter followers per day. You’ve gotta think the 8,871,813 spike is from that Twitter glitch but whatever. At least you can see what’s really going on.
We also did the math on his tweets and he’s posted 212 times since his mid-April reappearance. Per Pitchfork, he originally deleted his account in May of 2017.
Welp, those are the numbers. Can’t wait for whatever comes next, Mr. West.
S/O to Social Blade, we’ve used them for a long time and they’re the gold standard for social media stats.
