Randy Arozarena Ties MLB Record With 8th Postseason Dinger

The Dodgers needed one more strike to lock up a 6-1 win in Game 3 but Randy Arozarena decided to stretch the game out a little longer. With a full-count, the red-hot rookie hit a bomb 397 feet to left field off Kenley Jansen. It was his eighth of the postseason, tying the MLB record.

The 25-year old joined a club consisting of some legit legends — Carlos Beltran, Barry Bonds and Nelson Cruz.

The homer was inconsequential and Los Angeles locked up the game one batter later. The final score was 6-2 and gave the Dodgers a 2-1 lead in the series.

Justin Turner gave the Dodgers their first run with a solo homer in the first inning and a two-run single by Max Muncy in the third extended the lead to 3-0. That’s really all they needed because they were in control the whole time. Walker Buehler dazzled in his second career World Series start, striking out 10 batters and allowing just three hits. He did suffer a home run to Willy Adames, his only earned run allowed in 13 career World Series innings.

Buehler’s 10 strikeouts in six innings is a World Series first. Combined, the Dodgers held Tampa Bay to just four hits.

Game 4 will be on Saturday at 8:08 p.m. ET on FOX.
