Ranking Every NFL Week 12 Matchup
Through 11 weeks, the NFL is starting to sort itself out. Fourteen teams are about done (<10% to make postseason, per FiveThirtyEight) and seven are nearly locked-in (>90% to make postseason). We have six weeks remaining and it’s going to be exciting to see how it turns out. Here, we’ll rank every matchup for Week 12:
Ranking NFL Week 12 Matchups
#14: Detroit at Washington (Sun, 1pm FOX)
The Redskins are really hard to watch and I’m pretty sure the team isn’t feeling Dwayne Haskins.
#13: NY Giants at Chicago (Sun, 1pm FOX)
How much bad quarterbacking can you fit in one game? We’ll find out here.
#12: Denver at Buffalo (Sun, 1pm CBS)
Denver blew a big win last week while Buffalo took care of business against Miami. Two solid defenses go up against one another. Someone wins 17-10.
#11: Pittsburgh at Cincinnati (Sun, 1pm CBS)
Will be interesting to see how Mason Rudolph responds to the infamous helmet shot.
#10: Jacksonville at Tennessee (Sun, 4pm CBS)
Titans coming off a bye. Jags got smoked in their first game with Foles back under center. Both teams are still alive in the race to win the AFC South.
#9: Tampa Bay at Atlanta (Sun, 1pm FOX)
Neither team is likely going to make the postseason but this one should be a fun one to watch. Both teams will score in the 30s.
#8: Miami at Cleveland (Sun, 1pm FOX)
The Browns got a huge W last week but they’ll either come together as a team after the Myles Garrett situation or completely fall apart.
#7: Carolina at New Orleans (Sun, 1pm CBS)
Two teams that are hard to trust right now, but still the top teams in their division.
#6: Oakland at NY Jets (Sun, 1pm CBS)
The Heidi Game!
#5: Seattle at Philadelphia (Sun, 1pm FOX)
Between this game and the Dallas-New England one that follows it, FOX is going to own viewership this Sunday.
#4: Houston at Indianapolis (Thu, 8pm FOX/NFL)
Texans need a bounce-back after laying an egg vs. Baltimore. Colts will be without their best offensive weapon, Marlon Mack.
#3: Baltimore at LA Rams (Mon, 8pm ESPN)
Lamar Jackson is must-see television these days. Luckily, those without NFL Sunday Ticket will be able to see him in action on Monday night.
#2: Green Bay at San Francisco (Sun, 8pm NBC)
Any other week, this would be in the No. 1 spot. Great matchup and rematch of “The Catch II” from back in T.O’s San Francisco days.
#1: Dallas at New England (Sun, 4pm FOX)
Game of the season, so far, and the best case Super Bowl scenario. Pats are favored by a touchdown.
Byes: Chiefs, Vikings, Chargers, Cardinals
