2021 ACC Baseball Tournament Preview & Schedule

The 2021 ACC Baseball Tournament will be held at Truist Field in Charlotte, NC — home of the Triple-A Charlotte Knights — between May 25-30, and there isn’t any attendance restriction. The stadium holds 10,000-plus and tickets are available here.

The 12 teams — Wake Forest and Boston College missed the cut — are seeded and split between four three-team pools. Each team will play the other two teams in their pool, and the four teams with the best records within their pools will advance to the semifinals. If there’s a three-way tie (ie: all three teams go 1-1) the top seed in the pool will advance. Therefore, a team like No. 8 Virginia (or other 5-12 seeds) will have to go 2-0 during pool play to move on.

Virginia, who started 2-9 before going on a tear to finish the season 18-18, is joined in Pool A by No. 1 Notre Dame and No. 12 Virginia Tech. They’ll be one of the few teams to have two days between games; their first game is on the first day of the tournament (May 25) against rival Virginia Tech, followed by their second game on the final day of pool play (May 28) versus Notre Dame.
