2021 ACC Basketball Awards: UVA’s Hauser, Huff & Clark Earn All-Conference Honors

Sam Hauser was chosen as a first-team All-ACC selection on Monday when the conference rolled out their postseason awards. Jay Huff, who looked like a first-team lock early on, was a second-team selection while Kihei Clark was an honorable mention. Huff was also runner-up for the ACC Defensive Player of the Year trophy, a member of the ACC All-Defensive Team, and an ACC Player of the Year and ACC Most Improved Player award vote-getter. Hauser also received votes for ACC Player of the Year.

UVA rival Virginia Tech was represented well, too. Most notably, second-year Hokie coach Mike Young was voted as the ACC Coach of the Year and Keve Aluma was a second-team All-ACC pick. Aluma just missed out on first-team honors, falling shy of Hauser by four voting points. He also received votes in the POY and DPOY categories.
