Radford Basketball Hits Century Mark in Win Over SC Upstate

The Radford basketball program whooped SC Upstate 102-66 at home on Friday behind 16 points from Dravon Mangum and Quinton Morton-Robertson. It was the most points the Highlanders scored all season and the first time since the 2018-19 season that they topped the century mark.

The Highlanders took a commanding 50-28 lead at halftime and increased their lead to as many as 37 in the second half. Everyone got in the action for Radford; 15 different players scored, including four in double figures (Mangum, Morton-Robertson, Shaquan Jules, and Lewis Djonkam.

After narrowly beating the Spartans on Thursday 63-61 and hitting just one three-pointer, the Highlanders went crazy from deep. They went 13-for-29 (44.8 percent) from beyond the arc on Friday, way above their season average (30.1 percent).

Radford, who improved to 12-2 in conference play with the win, has moved up 122 spots in the KenPom rankings since the beginning of the season from No. 309 to No. 187. They have a huge back-to-back on deck against Winthrop — the conference leader at 13-1 — this coming week.
