Ty Jerome Brings Scoring Average into Double Figures With 22 Points vs. Philadelphia

Ty Jerome hit the 20-point mark for the second time in his career on Monday night, dropping a team-high 22 in a 121-90 loss to the 76ers. Jerome, whose other 20-point game came earlier this month vs. Cleveland, was perfect from inside the arc (4-for-4) and from the charity stripe (2-for-2). The bulk of his points, however, came from deep; he went 4-for-8 from three-point range in 31 minutes and brought his scoring average for the season into double figures (10.3 ppg).

With more opportunities in his second season, Jerome has raised his field goal (43.1 FG%) and three-point percentage (40.1 3P%) considerably over his rookie campaign (33.6 FG%; 28.0 3P%)

Despite another impressive game from Ty, Oklahoma City has now lost 14 consecutive games.

Other Virginia alumni averaging double-figures this season include Malcolm Brogdon (21.6 ppg), De’Andre Hunter (16 ppg), and Joe Harris (14.4 ppg). Kyle Guy (Sacramento) and Anthony Gill (Washington) aren’t there yet but it must be noted that both are starting to play meaningful minutes for their respective teams.
