WATCH: Cowboys Pull Off ‘Philly Special’ in Week 5

The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys are big-time rivals and all but the Cowboys leaned on a famous Eagles’ play during their Week 5 game against the New York Giants.

Dallas dialed up ‘Philly Special‘ when they were down 20-17 in the second quarter on the 11-yard line, leading to Dak Prescott‘s first-ever reception and receiving touchdown. Cowboys wide receiver Cedrick Wilson threw the touchdown after a pitch-back from Zeke; it was his first NFL passing attempt, though he was 4-for-5 passing during his Boise State tenure and was a QB in high school.

‘Philly Special’ (aka ‘Philly Philly‘) is famous in Eagles history after it helped Nick Foles and the 2017 Eagles win the Super Bowl. See the play below from Super Bowl LII.

The discussion right before the play between Foles and head coach Doug Pederson is immortalized in a statue at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

UPDATE: Dallas went on to win the game 37-34 but the Cowboys lost Dak Prescott for the season after a gruesome ankle injury in the second half.
