Watch Rookie Olamide Zaccheaus 93-yd TD on First NFL Catch

Olamide Zaccheaus caught his first NFL pass on Sunday during Atlanta’s 40-20 route of the Carolina Panthers. The reception was particularly notable because it was a bomb from Matt Ryan that traveled 50 yards in the air and ended as a 93-yard touchdown reception.

Zaccheaus caught the deep ball in stride, broke a tackle, and zipped into the endzone.

An undrafted free agent, Olamide Zaccheaus was a four-year stud at the University of Virginia, earning Belk Bowl MVP in his final collegiate game. Though he came to Virginia as a halfback, he transformed into their career leader in receptions (250) and currently ranks second in school history in receiving yards (2,753).

After the game, Matt Ryan said Zaccheaus “has worked extremely hard and stepped up when his number was called.”

Prior to his big play in Week 14, the former Virginia star had only one target at the NFL level.
