Well, I Guess Dez Bryant Isn’t Returning to Dallas After All
There are a few levels to CeeDee Lamb choosing to wear #88 with the Dallas Cowboys. Wearing that number means something in Dallas. Putting it on means you’re expected to be a legitimate playmaker. It also means a Dez Bryant reunion is highly unlikely.

Drew Pearson passed it to Michael Irvin, who then passed it to Antonio Bryant, and then most recently to Dez Bryant. On Thursday, Bryant passed the torch to CeeDee, telling him to “BE GREAT” on Twitter.

With the way Dez’s career has gone since leaving Dallas, it’s nice to see him being so gracious. Seeing that picture must have been a bitter pill to swallow. Never forget, less than a month ago, Dez set the rumor mill in Big D on fire by working out with Dak Prescott.

I can’t imagine him coming back to Dallas and NOT wearing #88. A return would require Dez to make several concessions and swallow a lot of pride; he’d be signing for the minimum, I imagine, and he’d also be settling for a different number because his #88 was on the back of a rook — I just don’t see it! Sadly, it’s becoming less and less likely that Dez ever plays in the NFL again.
On the bright side, CeeDee Lamb can really play, and the Boys are going to have a nice trio of wideouts this coming season (if it actually happens). Lamb jerseys are already available in the Cowboys team shop.
