George Mason Offering Free Tix to Gov’t Shutdown Employees

The George Mason Athletic Department is pitching in to ease the burden on federal employees impacted by the government shutdown.

According to George Mason’s official website:

The George Mason University athletic department will offer complimentary tickets to men’s and women’s basketball games for federal employees impacted by the government shutdown.

The offer is available for all regular season home men’s and women’s basketball games during the furlough.

The generous offer requires valid government IDs and can only be redeemed on the day of the game at Eagle Bank Arena’s box office, per GoMason.com.

The George Mason men’s program — now 2-0 in Atlantic 10 Conference play — hosts Davidson tonight at Eagle Bank Arena at 7:00 P.M ET. Among all teams, they are the only program with two wins, thus putting them in first place. Overall, the men’s program is 8-7 and 6-3 at home.

Mason’s women’s basketball program is 8-6 on the season and 0-1 in A-10 play.
