GMU Hoops Hits the Road in Search of First Win

The GMU hoops program hits the road tonight in search of their first win on the season.

Although they’ve looked good through two games this year, the George Mason basketball team hasn’t picked up a win thus far. Tonight, however, they’ll look to finally get in the win column when they travel down south to play Georgia Southern at 7:00 P.M ET. Like so many other games this season, the contest can be viewed nationally on ESPN+.

The Patriots are WAY overdue for a win. So far, they’ve lost each of their two games by a combined four points, complete with an overtime loss and a loss where they missed a game-winner with time ticking away. On the bright side, they’re averaging 73 points per game — nine points more than they averaged last year through two games (64). Additionally, George Mason has won each of their last two road games.

As for the betting side of things, the Patriots are a solid play tonight. Right now, they currently rank No. 137 in KenPom’s ratings which puts them 16 spots higher than Georgia Southern. Having said that, GMU is a three-point underdog on the road against the Eagles. When you factor that in with the fact that they’re so overdue and desperate, our squad looks real juicy tonight.

Tonight’s game is GMU’s first road game of the year.
