“Let the Kids Play”: Ken Griffey Jr. Stars in New MLB Postseason Ad

To promote the upcoming MLB Postseason, the league tabbed Hall-of-Famer Ken Griffey Jr. as its star.

With the MLB Postseason set to kick off, the league is running a new ad featuring Ken Griffey Jr and several young stars. It’s not your typical ad, though. Instead, Griffey Jr. — donning his famous backward Seattle Mariners fitted — tells all the fans who hate the celebrations and bat flips to “Let the Kids Play.

Some of the current playoff-bound players featured are Yasiel Puig (Los Angeles Dodgers), Mookie Betts (Boston Red Sox), Aaron Judge (New York Yankees), and Carlos Correa (Houston Astros).

The MLB Postseason kicks off tonight with the NL Wild Card game — Colorado at Chicago, 8:00 P.M ET. Tomorrow, the AL Wild Card game will take place with the Oakland at New York, also at 8:00 P.M ET.

ESPN will air the NL Wild Card game while TBS will broadcast the AL Wild Card game.
