Alumni groups are strong in the TBT because of their familiarity with one another. Boeheim’s Army (+700) is one of the favorites every year and this year they brought in a few ringers with NBA experience. At +700, there’s a ton of value — they have a bye and their first matchup will be against a team they’ll handle easily (Men of Mackey or Heartfire) . House of Paign (+5000) and Herd That (+10000) are also alumni teams, both with top-notch shooters and gobs of former teammates. They’re both longshots but $10 to win $500 on House of Paign (Illinois alumni) and $10 to win $1000 on Herd That (Marshall alumni) is just too juicy to pass up.
